Harrison was given a find-it type Thomas book for his birthday.  It is, hands down, the number 1 requested read this month.  One of the fave pages shows the troublesome trucks fooling Toby (Mom’s favorite) by causing him to think he’s shunting rocks, when really it’s banana’s.  This is hilarious to 2 and nearly 4 year old’s.

Today we studied the difference between boxes filled with rocks and boxes filled with bananas.  The boys learned that rocks are harder to push.  But, banana’s are better to eat and kind of funny!

We also tried to make rainbows using a flashlight, some paper and Hot Dog’s bowl.  We had very limited success;  I think mostly due to the condition of Hot Dog’s water.  I have never seen a fish poop so much!  I’m considering getting a snail to keep the water cleaner, and maybe a water plant too.  The rainbows were too little to capture on film, but it did keep the boys attention for about 5 minutes.

My sister’s fish has been alive now for close to 13 years (or maybe more). That thing just keeps on going. My parents have tried live plants (he shredded them and then ate them), other fish (he just bullied them and they died or he ate them), snails (ate them). Good luck!
