Grandpa Russ has a sailboat, and he let us check it out over the 4th. Harrison is still asking to “go to Grandpa’s house” Sorry Mom!

We watched the fishing competition for a bit, clowned around with the nautical-type lawn ornaments, and walked the dock. The dock walk took a loooong time as the boys were kept busy watching baby ducks. Noah was nearly over-excited.

Grandma Carol met us down on the boat, and took the boys so Dad and I could go sailing. What a day it was! We hit 4.5 knots, no bugs, beautiful sunny not-too-hot weather, and only a couple of obnoxious fishermen from the aforementioned contest. Just look at the shades of blue in the sky and the water. Oh, how I love the lake! Only God could have designed something so awesome!

I heard Harrison put mom in her place — as all grandbabies seem to do with these three little words, “Where’s Grandpa Russ?”
Hahahaha — don’t worry mom, they still love you!
