Check out the new ride!
Noah upgraded his trike to a 16inch red Trek. He chose the matcing red helmet and bell. I was so impressed how he maneuvered that bike throughout the store only crashing once, and lucky for me not into a row of bikes. We initially had him on a blue one because that’s what he said he wanted, but he told us in no uncertain terms that he would not be taking that bike home. Next he chose a purple flower bike with pink streamers and a basket. He was smitten; and while that bike sure did look nice, I wasn’t certain that it would keep it’s appeal in years to come. The salesmen gently steered Noah to the red Trek and we ended up with a happy camper.
And yes, he is riding in the living room…

I don’t think that Rob was aware Noah, Harrison, Ranger and I were inside watching in horror as Rob lit the matchlite charcoal. I have a suspicion that gasoline was involved. Luckily for us, no one was injured, and the salmon turned out just fine.

Noah handed me the camera the other day and reported that he had been taking pictures. I didn’t know that he knew how, but the proof was on the camera. Most of his pictures were of the floor or his tummy, but here is his best shot. I’m most impressed that he had the foresight to put the strap around his neck thereby decreasing the risk to my camera.
That kid continues to surprise me.
I think we’ve been over-empthasizing pronunciation with Noah. The way he scrunches up his face when he says fruit snack cracks me up to no end. I may be the only one who gets a laugh, but I want to remember this.

My Harrison has such gentle eyes. He’s into kisses right now, and uses them to his advantage.
This morning at breakfast he threw his fork, I scolded him, and he put on such a show with sad eyes and quivering lips. All I could do was give him a hug.
As I type he’s climbing up the back of the couch and squealing in delight as he “falls” over the edge. What a monkey! He can literally climb the walls.
He’s not lacking for brains either. Currently, he’s working on his colors. Yellow seems to the the fave. And he counts up to 2. Harrison will tell you what sound just about any animal makes. His go-to if he’s not sure will be a ROAR. Fitting for a Tiger.
My Who is so fun right now and such a chatter-box.

I’m so proud of my boys. One of their very favorite pastimes is reading books. Something Rob and I encourage. Here are my men reading before bedtime a few nights ago in Noah’s room.

And here’s what they did tonight.

Lucky for me they decided to allow mom’s into the reading fort.
Don’t you just love it?

Even in jammies, but not in your face….
One of my RFC friends Amanda posted on her blog this idea. I thought awesome! Only difference, she has girls.

I don’t know how many times I’ve picked up that corn and put it back in the table…. Doesn’t matter much, the boys love to dig with their back hoe loaders, front loaders, dump trucks, and excavators. We’ve spent HOURS in the basement playing with corn.

With the warm temp today, the snow melted, puddles formed and mud was ever present. Mud and little boys are like PB&J.

They each mudded 2 outfits, but had a glorious time doing it. Noah actually let Harrison ride his Kettler trike, and said that Harry could have it if we bought Noah a new bike. I’ll believe THAT when I see it. This afternoon, they stomped in icy puddles and hauled wood around just for the heck of it. What a glorious day!
I make it a priority to teach Noah and Harrison to say please and thank you. I think it’s polite and respectful, plus adults like and respond to better, children who are polite. Noah has taken this to the extreme:
Mom: Noah would you like some oatmeal?
Noah: Yes please.
Mom: Noah would you like some blueberries?
Noah: No please!
Maybe I’ve been stressing the politness a bit too much. But I do get a kick out of the no pleases!
