When I make breakfast for dinner, we often serve OJ in fancy glasses. That’s really the only use our stem-ware ever gets. Last week we had pizza and coke in fancy glasses and we toasted each other and said what we liked best about them.
Noah said that he likes best about Dad how Dad plays chase, and he likes best about Mom how Mom holds him.
Harrison smiled a lot and said Mom. He can say Mom now and he says it over and over. I never tire of hearing it.

I cannot bake. Every cookie I have ever made has turned out flat and hard. I didn’t even sign up for my work cookie exchange because, let’s face it, my cookies suck. I heard a rumor that if you make the batter and refrigerate it for 8 hours, then the cookies will be soft and chewy. Noah and I decided to give it a try.
I ran out of baking soda, and couldn’t use the stinky stuff in the frig, so I went to a neighbor to borrow a teaspoon. She gave me her secret for soft and chewy cookies, and we decided to try her recipie.
The whole family got into making the cookies, and they were so good that Noah and Harry snuck some for breakfast this morning.
Yummo! I’m considering participating in the cookie exchange, they are that good!

We had the most awesome Thanksgiving. My brother and sisters were there with all their respective kids. There were no distasters like previous years. No turkey’s on fire, no smoke-filled homes, no Grandma delegated to a mattress in the corner of the room… The kids played nicely and the food was incredible. We had leftovers last night and Noah must have said yummy about 100 times. Harrison has developed a love of cranberry sauce, and Ranger had nary a scrap to enjoy.
