Harrison has been climbing everything in his path.  He can maneuver to the top of the kitchen table, the back of both couches, various bed, ladders, and the refrigerator.

Action shot of Harrison on the decline from climbing up to get milk.  He’s a regular monkey.

I wonder who teaches him to climb.  That certainly doesn’t look like me.

I taught them how to climb trees this afternoon.  Look at those beaming faces!

In truth, it is Noah who has inspired Harrison’s recent feats of height.  Noah has been found climbing the shelf in the garage that’s about 6 ft up, and climbing the OUTSIDE of the stairwell.  I’ve found him climbing to reach things on top of the frig and today he was in the microwave, probably just trying to use it as a foothold to get to the cocoa (see previous post) chocolate chips and mini-marshmallows.

Locks can’t keep Noah confined.  He can open each of our doors and the garage door.  You all know how fond my boys are of wood sports.  Just yesterday Noah unlocked the tool chest to procure the hatchet and mallet used to split wood.  As I was wrenching them from his hands, Harrison starts climbing the extension ladder.  I toss the hatchet and such on top of the 6 foot shelf to save Harry and turn my back to find Noah nearly at the top of the shelf in a matter about 10 seconds.

Maybe lumberjack is in their future…  They have to climb the trees to cut the tops off first, right?
