I couldn’t stand the idea of being in the house all morning. Our backyard is like a swamp with all that rain, and the front yard is not much better. Lisa’s puddle is always such a draw…
I took the boys to Betty Brinn for the morning. It was the first time Harrison had been old enough to participate, and he loved it! You’d think the boys would be all over trying something new. No, the very first thing they did was grab the lawn mowers and reak havoc all over the tot playland. I had to take them away after we started lawnmower bumper crash.
Harrison showed off his newest skill: drinking from a straw!

We tried making our own cinnamon rolls this morning. I cheated and used Jiffy mix.
They did not even compare with Cinnabon… I remember the best part of going to the mall with my sisters was sharing one of those HUGE Cinnabons. I probably could eat an entire one myself but a stomach-ache would surely follow.

My garden was crazy this year. The basil did not grow, only one of my tomato plants produced (and we’re still picking ‘em for Harrison to eat), gourds went bezerk, and my carrots look evil. I think we planted too many too close together. It was my first time doing carrots and we started them from seed. They are tasty. I put them in a chicken pot pie last night and everyone ate it up!
