Raspberry Smiles

Rob and I were feeling like parents of the year.  It was just after 7pm, and both of our darling boys were asleep in their respective sleeping spots.  Here’s goes the conversation:

Leah: “Is Noah asleep”

Rob: “Yes”

Leah: “Let’s watch the Unit”

Noah: (a soft voice from upstairs) “Noah a woke” repetitively… but muffled, and not too clear

Rob: chiding Leah “Why are you so loud? You need to lay low” Rob places another log on the fire and grudgingly tromps upstairs to assist Noah back to sleep.

The pitter patter of Noah’s feet coming down the stairs…

Rob: “You have to assist with this”

Noah: “Noah throw up.  Too much green beans”  Noah is covered in vomit.  Rob comes down with ALL the bedding (pillows, sheets, blankets, mattress pad)

Rob throws sheet on kitchen floor.  Lying in the middle is no less than 2 cups of green beans, partially digested, and very stinky!  Mom gets to clean up the child and the mess.  Dad’s stomach is in knots, and his nose is “sensitive”

Noah: “Green beans yucky”
